this is on the of the most recommend hostels in quito, i personally stayed there for 3 weeks during december 2008... the view from the balcony is priceless together with a great party atmosphere brought by the "volunteers" that come and stay there for free in return for the 2 A's - accommodation and alcohol...

The Secret Garden is far and away the best backpacker spot in Quito. Located right between Old Town and New Town, the hostel has great rates, friendly party atmosphere, and one of the best views of the city from its rooftop balcony.
ReplyDeleteReally nice hostel. friendly staff and great breakfasts (though not included) and amazing views!spent lots of time in the evenings on the balcony partying, but its a bit further from the night life than some other hostels. prices are quite high compared to some of the hostels in the mariscal, which are pretty similar except for the views. close to lots of sights too.
